We ordered Rice Thief for pick up online after seeing so many droolworthy posts of it. I haven't had raw marinated crab in the US before, only in Korea, so I had no idea how big these crabs were. I tried the 6 pieces (3 crabs) and ate it with my own rice. I really enjoyed the seasoning of the raw crab. Make sure to eat it with rice because it's quite salty if you don't. Definitely pricey as it is crab, but I'm glad the crab was cleaned well and flavored nicely. They're pretty responsive on IG, so definitely DM them if you have any specific questions.

I have been craving Ganjang Gejang for a long while now and was excited to finally try it out at this place! Eating crab is too much work for me... that's why I was so happy and excited to try their salmon and shrimp! Both dishes were very flavorful, deeply seasoned and fresh! The combination of soy sauce, onion, jalapeño pepper works great together. The texture of shrimp is kinda slimy (in a good way though, for the lack of better words) and still retains a great crunch. The texture of salmon is similar to smoked salmon but a lot more tender and juicy!

Ordered this a week in advance since it was a long list for my friends on I last Friday! Everyone absolutely loved it - the soy crab was amazing - good amount of meat, the spicy was amazing as well! Sadly it was super spicy for me because I have low tolerance but it was worth it! personally I loved the red shrimp the most because it was sweet and soft - the sauce complimented it so well!! We were definitely stuffed by the end. Order can be accepted through their instagram and the service was amazing!! 10/10 would order from them again especially for my parents this time :) excited to see this place grow and gain more traction!

Rice Thief is a ghost kitchen located in Sunnyside which serves Korean raw seafood dishes. They get their seafood fresh from the fish market and marinate them in their special soy marinade for three days. You can order in advance on their instagram or wechat for pickup or delivery. The ordering part is a bit of a hassle, but they are going to be on doordash soon. Once the order is placed, a deposit is required. The rest is paid in cash. I was a bit confused about the puck up process. They are located in the Sunnyside Eats building, but Rice Thief uses a different system. Don't try to use the kiosks or counter. Just call them when you get there and they'll bring down your order. I ordered the soy marinated crab (their signature dish) and some sea scallops. I was excited to try the crab since I've never had it before but also had some trepidation since it is raw. The seafood was very fresh and tasty after you get over the fact that it is raw. I thought the sauce would be overly salty but it was not at all. The crab had plenty of roe. (Tip: Eat the yolk from the shell mixed with some rice.) I wish the claw was cracked for easier eating, though. I had a little bit left over from lunch and decided to cook the rest for dinner. It was just as delicious! The scallops were good too but the crab was way better! I definitely recommend the crab! Prices are reasonable too!
